Virtual Wine Tasting £45 per ticket (£37.50 + VAT)

Equivalent to £22.50 pp

3 bottles of wine, tasting notes & access to a live Zoom tasting with the winemaker

Join us for a journey down the Danube, introducing you to Austrian wines and wine making artist, Arnold Holzer, as part of a special promotion this month celebrating Austria’s wonderful wines.

Arnold, who took over the winemaking aged just 23, represents the fifth generation of his family to farm this small estate in the heart of Wagram. We are excited that Arnold will be joining us for this tasting, so you can hear first hand from the winemaker himself.

Austria is more well known for its dry white wines, but it also produces wonderful red wines. Exciting new developments are also taking the wine world by storm.

We’ll be tasting the following of Arnold’s wines (these wines are all Vegan):

  • Eschenhof Holzer Grüner Veltliner
  • Eschenhof Holzer Invader Orange
  • Eschenhof Holzer Zweigelt

Your wines will be delivered at the latest the day before the event. You will also receive tasting notes.

We would highly recommend pairing food with these wines so have made some recommendations below:

Eschenhof Holzer Grüner Veltliner – perfect with spicy Thai green curry with tofu, wiener schnitzel, fava beans and crispy kale, wafer thin smoked ham, asparagus quiche or seafood salads and mild sheep’s milk cheese.

Eschenhof Holzer Invader Orange – try with quinoa spiced with cumin, orange & pomegranate or Cajun-style charred salmon with cowboy potatoes.

Eschenhof Holzer Zweigelt – one of those rare reds that pair well with fish, particularly shellfish. Try with fish cooked in wine or tomato-based sauce to really bring out the flavours. Also works well with terrine, smokey tofu, smokey bacon crisps or a bacon butty.
