Vines over 14 years old with the characteristics of the terroir (altitude, wide temperature range (18°C), open skies, sunny days and low rainfall), assured a high sugar content, the staggered ripening of the grape, and a great expression of the variety on sandy and stony soils. Harvest takes place at night to capture the freshness of the fruit.This wine is all about the fruit! Intense ruby-red with violet hues. On the nose, it's a very fruity wine with notes of fresh plums, violets and soft spice. And in the mouth, the first impact is kind and fresh. It ́s medium-bodied, very balanced, with round tannins. Good acidity with a final seductive and good persistence. Brilliant at the BBQ, with tapas or just by itself!

Out of stockThe family business continued running for all of the following century and, in the 1980s, Rodolfo Lavaque, from the fourth family generation, took over the management. Boasting impressive altitudes that range between 5,200 and 6,500 feet above sea level, the Calchaquí Valleys constitute one of the highest terroirs in the world. The dry, sunny climate is responsible for the grapes' impressive flavour. The broad temperature ranges in the area are also key to the production of high-quality wines that convey the Valleys' unique personality through their colour, aromas and flavours.
