A translation of Bruce Springsteen’s “Empty Sky”. A song which reflected our emotions following September 11th 2001, when we were living and working in the shadow of the World Trade Center.
Le Ciel Vide is a lighter style of red wine made from 50% old vine Carignan, 20% Grenache, with some Syrah and Mourvedre. It differs from their other reds in that it is not aged in barrel.
The nose is a powerful combination of forest fruits, violets, stables and barnyards. The palate is fruit-forward but savoury, spicy flavours appear shortly afterwards. The texture is glossy, while retaining some structure. It can be served very lightly chilled
