Domaine Wardy’s range stands out in Lebanese winemaking for its freshness, lightness and history.

Versions of the Domaine Wardy story vary – but they all start with one woman, Wardy Rose Moussallem. Great-grandmother of the current fourth-generation owners, this remarkable woman was widowed at a young age and took over her husband’s orchards and vineyards. She was so successful that they renamed the land after her. This is her domaine; her land, her vineyards and her wine.

A blend of handpicked Tempranillo (34%), Cabernet Sauvignon (33%) & Syrah (33%) from vineyards in the Zahle & North Beqaa grown on limestone & gravel soils. Fermented in stainless steel and concrete vats.

The label has an award-winning design by Tarek Atrissi, the colour-coded main feature is inspired by vine tendrils and spells ‘Wardy’ vertically in Arabic calligraphy.

Tempranillo’s characteristic savoury notes come to the fore with powerful green cigar leaves coupled by dark and sour cherries, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah add hints of blackberry, black pepper and wonderful floral notes. A generous wine with a long finish

Good to go with jambalaya pasta (or make with rice), Cajun Filet Mignon, Dry Indian Chili Chicken or hamburgers with skinny fries
