Fruit of illusion and erected an iron-based determination and effort, is located on land adjacent to the village of El Molar and belonging to the Priorat DOCa.
Formiga de Vellut means ‘Velvety Ant’, a tribute to the organic growing practices that allow ants to survive in the vineyard. This is a beautiful blend of 60% Grenache 20% Carignan and 20% Syrah.
Violets dance on top of the humid, wet slate nose. It is an elegant wine with red fruit and hint of spice on the palate. Powerful with fine tannins and a long, lingering finish. The 2014 was chosen to be served at the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Banquet!
Serve it with saddle of lamb in pastry, potato terrine with Swedish cheese and cream, yellow beets, celeriac with salt, apple salad with rosemary flavoured jus, a Sunday roast (Quorn roast is just has good) or cheeses like Garrotxa, Nevat or an aged Manchego
