Viñedo do los Vientos ‘Vineyard of the winds’ is located where the River Plate, the widest river in the world, meets the Atlantic Ocean.
This region provides clean cool ocean breezes and an ideal climate for the maturation of wine grapes.
With only 16 hectares, they practice sustainable agriculture with no insecticides and only a very low grade fungicide to control downy mildew.
The winemaker, Pablo Fallabrino, a laid back good natured surfer, is the perfect catalyst to create a world class winery. His approach is not to over think the winemaking process; instead, he runs with his instincts, takes chances and makes extraordinary wines with his own personal signature.
Vinedo de los Vientos Catarsis is a rich, intriguing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Tannat (20%) and Barbera (30%).. Aromas of vanilla, cherry and eucalyptus. Powerful yet well balanced with integrated tannins on the long finish.
It comes from a 17ha vineyard, located next to the coast, where the River Plate estuary meets the Atlantic Ocean. Soils are made of calcareous white and brown clays.
Using no insecticide and dry no-till farming, the family practices sustainable farming. Minimal intervention viticulture. Hand harvested.
30% of the wine aged for 12 months in new French oak.
